Here we go again then, Pretty sure I,m going to get one next few months but a few questions first as I,ve never ridden one yet? Are the 2010 bikes out yet? If not when are they due? Thinking of getting a 200 or 250, has anyone got a 200 and does it have enough power? Are there any essential mods to make it run at its best and I dont mean bling Whats the front and rear suspension like? Will the swing arm snap? Will the frame crack? Will the carb leak? Will I look abit gay on it after the 4rt? Sensible answers please Dad and Clarkey Just

Nice one Dougie tied the leaver and got my kit on hmmm. It worked a treat the clutch was freed almost right away. Well I can live with that mate. Had an afternoon of riding at bradfield with a mate. one section crossed the river .All well and good until I took a wrong turning in the water and ended in deep trouble, When I say deep it was the best part of 4ft deep. Dont know about yours but my Beta cant swim... After a struggle we managed to get it back to life with no apparent damage. How was rochdale on sunday ? cheers Leggins p.s riding the hillsboro trial on sunday at dean head farm cant wait.

I plan to give my bike a rebuild for the summer and was looking for anything to look out for, anything important to make sure i do etc... I've never rebuilt a bike before, but I do do regular mainteance. I am not sure what type of fluids to clean the frame up with, WD40 something like that? Grease, another big question, what needs greasing, where and what type of grease? I don't know how to get the steering stock off, and where does it need greasing? I plan to put a grease nipple on the headstock, do I do it with the steering stock in or out, and where is the best place to put the nipple? Is it the big nut on the top? Also do I need to threadlock all the nuts, or is there…

Hi. New to this site, but I've read forums here a bunch of times. Looking for any ideas on why my bike is so hard to start, and suggestions on how to fix the problem. I just bought a 2000 beta rev3 250 last week. When i went to get it the guy was working on it. He said he went to start out before i got there, but it wouldn't start. I looked it over and figured out what the problem was and offered him less money. Water had gotten under the stator cover and rusted things. I cleaned it all up and that fixed no spark problem. The hydraulic clutch wasn't working engaging all the way. I fixed that. Then it was back firing. The next day ( today) it kept dying. I figur…

This is the colour of my plug after about 3 hrs of riding at a range of throttle openings the 1st time out after new piston rings replate of cylinder bottom end clean out with new main seals standard timing setting water ways perfectly clear with new impeller inner clutch case cleaned exhaust clean air filter and standard jetting. I put in 70ml of Rock oil strawberry trial 2 in to 5L of Shell Super unleaded. With the bike warmed up the idle was still increasing in speed with the screw out 3 turns from closed so I am going to put a 27.5 pilot jet in the carb it's got a 30 I there at the moment which is standard and the main jet is 150 with needle clip in the middle posit…

My Opinions Like:- The new top yoke The new silencer guard(looks less brittle) Don't like:- The red plastics (prefered the 06 black) Doesn't appear to be any frame decals like 06 and the swingarm ones aren't up to much) Any thoughts anyone...?

Hi, I've got a slow action throttle on my 200 at the moment, it's ok but if I haven't got much of a run up to a bank or hill I find the power is a bit delayed, it's not the most comfortable position for the wrist right back either. I have changed the gearing from 11t front 41t rear to 10t front 44t rear which has helped make the bike more usable in the first three gears in tight places. Some people have told me to keep the slow action throttle, other people prefer a quick action throttle- so I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone else tried both on their 125 or 200? If so how did you find it?

my 2002 250 rev3 is nearly always leaking fuel out of the carb floatbowl (not the breathers as mentioned before on here) Checked out the past posts on this subject and found this Done what the mod says with my float 'tang' but it still leaks.......correct me if Im wrong but I think the drawing in the link is wrong ! if you want to restrict the fuel going into the bowl you want the tang going the other way than what Clark says....whats reckon?

I have been trying to set the carb up on my techno as the bike will not rev out cleanly when accelerating. So far I have changed the air box to carb rubber connector to eliminate air leaks, checked the inlet manifold and the reeds and these seam fine with no broken petals. I have put the needle clip into the middle groove and it is still the same! Does anyone know what the standard jet sizes should be so I can check the ones fitted to my carb, this has been very frustrating as the bike starts and idles and unless its revved flat out it performs faultlessly. Andy.

Stuck them in today, wow what a difference smoothed out the throttle really well. Not had a chance to give them a good test yet, but keeping my fingers crossed it will make a big difference for the better. Most difficult part of fitting them wasnt removing the reed block, carb, exhaust and moving clutch cable!!!! getting them out of the packaging without bending the buggers took nearly as long is there a trick to it? the vacuum packaging was a pain.

I am either the most unlucky person on the planet or is there a problem? So far in the last 5 weeks i have had 5! YES 5 rear 2011 fenders snap and crack as if they were made from glass! at 70+ notes each iam now at my wits end!!! I wouldnt mind so much if id looped the bike everytime, but its from hardly even touching the bloody things. On my 2009 and 2010 bike i couldnt fault the fender they seemed unbrakeable. Is anyone else out there having the same problem?
