Has anyone found some sort of after market fan for radiator on trials bikes, Maybe a fan off a computer or marine type, waterproof fan? Stock ones are very expensive and I'm trying to help a friend on a budget.

Hey fellow trials nut cases............... Have you or riders you may know broke any ribs riding, if so how long before they healed?

The first idea is old since my dad did this on his 1978 TY 175 over 12 years ago. The floating rear fender. The rear fender is like the front fender with low clearance from the tire. This enables more body english without the fender getting in the way. My dad had the fender hinged on the frame and swingarm. The rear muffler might have to hinge also. The second idea is another set of footpegs on the swingarm. This would work well with the floating rear fender. Let's say your going uphill and need more traction. You move your feet to the rear pegs so all of your weight is on the rear tire.

Hi all, I am midway through a college course in web design for beginners and as part of the course I had to design a web site. I used the opportunity to collate some material about my trials riding. As part of the membership, we was supposed to get TC stickers. there was a post somewhere that said they was going to send them and was asking for volunteers.. Has anyone recieved them in the last month or so.. I would just like to publicise the site more for the good of the site. i do tell everyone i know about TC that is interested in our sport about the site and keep talking to a few members about our club posting results on the site, as by the time results are released on our site the next rials has begun.

I see around the internet few guys that have purchased 300 factory bikes and they choose to go with a slow throttle (black tube). some advise extra teeth on rear sprocket and also extra weight on the flywheel. back here I m thinking: whats the point of getting a powerful bike and dialing down the power? isn't that better just buy a 125cc and have significant less weight? or a 250? I just made the switch from 250 to 300 this season and although I haven't had the chance to ride much because of weather, I immediately noticed the extra power, which in my case I loved it. makes the wheelies much more controllable and you can rely more on the low end, focusing in the clut…

Getting over a ACL knee opp looking for a knee brace i have a web moto x brace i wore before the opp but its a bit big looking for something not so bulky but must be hinged any ideas ?

I'm thinking about replacing my Bieffe helmet. Hung it on the bars at the last meet, and the bike fell over. You guessed it...helmet got sandwiched between a rock and the bars. Has a nice deep gouge in the outside of the helmet and a neat circle and a gouge in the foam inside from the bar end and the clutch lever. Sure saved the bars though! So I'm thinking it's time to replace the lid. Had a Shoei first. Heavy and hot! Then I had an NZI before the Bieffe. Didn't like the NZI, cheap buckles that started rusting right away and the interior material fell apart in a hurry. Both the NZI and the Bieffe pinch the tops of my ears. Doesn't help that I wear glasses. …

I am replacing my grips in the normal last minute fasion today. Upon talking to my buddy this morning he said that he uses paint??? to help attach his grips. I conventionally use Glue. I have in the past used mechanics wire but always end up cutting my self after a long trial with the sharp end comming out from under the wire or comming untucked at the wrong moment. I tried searching for a previous post on this but couldn't find one so i thought i would start one. What do you use to attach your grips? Thanks in advance. --Biff

Hi, I'm looking to start trial long time ago, so I 'm ready now to buy a bike and learn this nice sport. So, I called some shop and I have different opinion for a first bike and that is not easy for the choice. One shop say me to start with a 125 and the other with a 250, for remember, I m 35 years old, 1m77 for 65 kg and did some trial with bicycle when I was young, some cross with bad memory ( lot of power and control was... Not very fine) and some ride with Ducati on the road. The deal is take pleasure to riding, only trial, learn the basic, slow wheelie, jump on rock.. But with smooth move, I don't want to ride with fear like my 250 Cr Honda.. W…

What 2 stroke oil do you use for your bike, and is there any real difference between. They all seem to be good quality 2 stroke oil, so just asking for your opinion Wonder Boy

Well, as the title really, I've been wondering about workshop necessities... What do I need? Fed up of borrowing the old mans tools... what do I need in the way of tools, oils, lubricants, nuts, bolts, washers and anything else? I know the important stuff but I'm interested to what you all reccomend? Please give a quality make/brand but good value, dont want them breaking or not doing there job properly, so yeah, shoot away people... Cheers in advance, Jamie

Been trying to buy a Dave Cooper bike rack for past two days. The only contact numbers on their web site are a Tel/Fax number which is usually engaged, but otherwise goes straight to fax, and a mobile number which doesn't connect. I have text'd it but no reply yet. I'm stuck in the Isle of Man at the moment working (with no TMX to hand), does anybody know him, or have better contact numbers for him? Was looking to get hold of it for the weekend, but thats probably too late now. Not the end of the world, but would like to get it ordered as soon as I can. Cheers, Gaz

It's been suggested that I put a "Beginners Guide" page (or pages) together on the site that newcomers or those curious about the sport could be directed to. Being a non-rider myself, it's not the sort of thing I fancy writing. With the number of people on here and the wealth of experience there must be somebody willing to put fingers to keyboard. Any volunteers?

I have a '99 Gas Gas TXT 270 and am looking to upgrade to something newer. My budget allows for something in the '04-'08 range. I have no trials clubs or competitions in my area, so I will only use it for trail and play riding. I don't want to start a brand bashing thread, but am wondering if one brand works and lasts better for trail (not trials) use. Hi Have just sold my Beta Evo 2010. Debating wheather to change to a gas gas or not. I have looked time and time again but still arent sure which 1 to go for. Any feedback would help. JB
