***Disclaimer*** This is a typical kinell 'mishap' so I hereby agree to accept all manner of p*** taking, name calling and mental abuse as long as some bugger eventually tells me how to get my van running again The fuel gauge on the old Tranny always shows full so I keep a spare can of diesel* in the back. Yesterday the van coughed, ran, spluttered, ran and then died on me so I topped her up at the side of the road. The battery ran flat trying to draw fuel so I rang a mate up to help out. My 'bargain' jump leads dripped melted plastic all over their engine bay so a mate of a mate turned up with some heavy duty leads. An hour later and the cow still wouldn't start so …

I'm thinking of buying a Citroen Berlingo but have read that they can be prone to electrical problems, has anyone had this with their van?. If it's something trivial like the clock not working I'm not too bothered but if it's anything thing to do with these bloody engine management systems I'd be a bit more concerned. Also does anyone know what MPG you get from the 1.9diesel (I'm on a budget so I'm not getting owt fancy like an HDI) Any other problems with the van? Cheers in advance for any help

Is it the vivaro and trafic are exactly the same and the Nissan Primastar is a different engine/ box. I am looking at maybe buying a Trafic/ Vivaro due to the low load height I will want to load large road bikes as well. Anything I should look for or avoid. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I bought a bike rack from Dave Cooper to transport my Rev3 on my Honda Civic and as told to by them I bought the Bak-Rak swan neck to flange converter. Which is apparently what is needed for the standard Honda Civic tow bar. I fitted it as instructed but the rack sags back (away from the car) even before the bike goes on, and then twists back more when the bike is on. The whole unit also rocks a lot. I explained this to Dave Cooper who told me it was a Bak-Rak issue and Bak-Rak told me it's fine and does this. Does anyone have experience in this or suggestions on how to make it feel more secure? I manage part of a company and we run a fleet of Transits...Ideal for the weekend to put the bike in I have just received through the post, 2 seperate incidents, one in Wiltshire and one in Yorkshire of my vehicles speeding on a Dual Carrigeway, one at 75mph and one at 72mph. I have a trailer which was made from mini running gear utilising the back axle of a mini. The old mini wheels really need replacing but are expensive nowadays , does anyone know of any other wheels that have the same stud centres as the mini which I could use instead?, I am replacing the mudguards too as they are knackered so could be a bigger wheel if needed. But it is one to use as a car as i dont need it for work. Therfore it needs to be reasonably nippy. I'm 17 in January and I'm going to start driving lessons, when I have passed both my theory and practical is it legal for me to have a bike rack on the back of my car to transport my gas gas or do I have to be a certain age? Strange question I know, thank you in advance for any help.

Hi there Just bought a towbar from Anker towbars for my Shogun Pinin. Just read their safety sticker on the towbar and it states that there is a vertical load limit of 60kg. Does this mean I can't legally use my bike rack on it. My Rev 4 is 75kg and my rack is probably another 5kg making it 80kg in total. I've got a similar mounted towbar on my VW Transporter but never even noticed any load limit when fitting it. Any ideas ? Are there towbars with greater limits available for my car or is 60kg the normal vertical load limit and people just ignore this warning ? The fixings certainly look substantial enough to take the weight. Gareth

I'm thinking of converting my two bike trailer into a box trailer so that scallywaggs don't see the bike as I go through towns on my way to a trial. Does anyone know what kind of sheet e.t.c is used for the side panels and where I could get it from? Replies would be appreciated

basically I have a mercedes vito which is doing around 30mpg because i use it as my car back and for work, want something more economical. And of course has to fit a trials bike or two in The vauxhall combo seems to be a good economical van doing around 50-60mpg, Transit connect possibly lpg as the diesel ones dont seem to good on fuel Would like a vivaro but think it wil be equally poor on fuel Berlingo ? I am warming to the car type version any advice etc would be good Cheers Chris

I'm thinking of getting a van, but not sure what to go for. I want six seats (two rows of three), but don't want anything massive. A Vito Dualiner looks good (and has passenger doors on both sides which is a bonus) or a Transporter Kombi - both SWB. Any views on either of these? Or a better alternative? Ta!

Hi I have a Witter detachable swan neck towbar on my car. I wanted to fit a bike rack but they all only seem to fit on fixed towbars. Hi guys Sorry but its another what van question - budget is 2 - 4.5k, thoughts are: Transit - loads about, relatively cheap but boggo 85hp is slowwwww and they do tend to rot somewhat and aren't to hot on fuel use. 56 reg ish with 50 - 70k Hiace - not many about considering nobody ever says anything bad about them. again 56 reg ish 50 - 70 k Vivaro - don't them gear boxes go at 70k? I've heard that either the 5 or 6 speed doesn't have this problem but don't know which! Bit newer with similar milage Vito - Do they come form the factory with those orange splodges ont he white paintwork? Iv read numerous posts saying 2 bikes fully assembled can fit in a berlingo. Has anyone got a picture of how they do it? I can get one in with the bike diagonal or with the tyre poking through the seats but I can't see how I'd fit another one in there!!! Andy

Not transport, but the bit between transport and riding. I'm looking to buy a pop-up gazebo to use at events. I know I would not have time/be bothered to put a normal Gazebo up, but a pop-up one may be worth the effort. I will use it mainly for signing on at our club trials, so it won't be used overnight or anything. But having never seen one in real life, I would appreciate any comments from anyone who has one. Homebase sell a pop-up Gazebo for £84 with sides but will this be too cheap and cheerfull? Do they really go up in less than a minute? Cheers Pete
