Just looking for suggestions here. My immaculate 300 fantic is in trouble. I seized the engine last summer(I know thats along time ago but I have kids and am busy) in an event and I have just now gotten around to looking at it! Bits of metal on top of the piston when I removed the head, and the piston is jammed stuck in the cylinder. What is the best way to get it unstuck and get the cylinder off. Cheers, Steve

1995 Fantic Section. Thought I would start a thread, as many questions may follow. New clutch and brake masters fitted. Front brake bled up easy. Clutch not so easy. Ended up seized plates was the problem, but not before putting fluid out of the slave cylinder. Before photos. whitehillbilly

So, which in your opinion is the best twinshock Fantic? Some say the Mineralli rear kick 200's, others the 240's forward kick and others say the Pro versions I rode against the early Fantic 200s in the early 80's and they seemed to go well Are Fantics the best twinshock bikes or are there any other marques/brands that are better Let us know your opinions?

Hey all ; I've got a chance to buy a real clean ,low hours 97 section for a reasonable price ... Are they worth the effort or should I just keep to my TS Fantics. I've been thinking of polishing the frame and running minimal plastic for a unique twist , (and to save all the nice oe. plastic ... ) Did they work well ??? Glenn

Hello guys, I have only had Montesa's in the past and just recently I acquired a 240 Professional! Planning on using this bike in ARHMA competitions and locally. I have been looking around for some parts I need for it but most is on Euro sites and prices are way too high. Anybody know of a source?

I just bought a Fantic trials bike. It is a monoshock. Stamped "FANTIC 403" on the neck and "FANTIC 403" "249.4cc" "*004352*" on the motor. What is it? What year is it? Where can I get parts for it?

I have my eye on a fantic 200 pro and the people selling say that they are not sure if its a real 200 pro engine in it my be from a 201 mono the bike looks great, have had a go at searching google for info on engine numbers and could not find any tips on what to look for. So if any one could please offer any kind of info on what numbers and letter need to be in the engine number to says it a 200 pro twinshock engine or its a 201 mono or later engine and how do the frame and engine numbers match up number wise. so i can tell that fantic put that frame and engine together when they built it. I would be very greatful for your time and advice

There is a Fantic for sale near me (Ohio,USA)the owner is not sure of the year but around 1986 , a 300 Trials Pro twin shocker. He has had it for 6 years the last 3 it being stored. Problems are front brake lever needs replaced(drum both ends) and it is slow to respond to throttle inputs, have not seen the bike yet, asking $650. I'm an Italian bike lover having had Ducs,Guzzi's,Nelli's and this bike has me thinkig of a possible purchase but don't want to get in over my head with money or headaches. I'm just planning on riding it on my own 3 acres so I just want something that will start when I want it to. Thanks,Scott

Anyone know where to find the model number, FM364, on a 303 Fantic. On the frame, engine or both? I'm assuming it would definitely be on the engine somehwere?

The title says it: I've just become the proud owner of a Fantic 200 in really nice condition. So inevitably I have to start with a few questions to the worthy gentlemen of this forum. What fuel/oil mix should I use? What type of oil? I know brand is a personal preference, but fully synthetic, semi synthetic, mineral? What oil, and how much in the gearbox? Is there anywhere I can get a manual? Preferably a download. No doubt there will be more but these answers would get me started. I'm hoping to do a first trial with it on the day after Boxing Day.

I recently bought from the Giulio Mauri family the 303 fantic that was the 1988 trials bike of Thierry Michaud. Giulio Mauri, a well known trials journalist and photographer, bought it from Thierry in 1998 and Thierry certified it. Mauri also wrote a book about Thierry and his Fantics. The bike is very different from the series bike as it is the prototype of the 305. The frame has a closer fork angle and a longer swinging arm (steel, not aluminium). The small rear frame is aluminium. The silencer is (incredibily) steel. The fork legs are thinner. The engine has the cylinder that will be fit on the 305 and a Mikuni carb. The exaust is hand made like the airbox. Most of th…
