I did some searching, but didn’t see any answer. Is there any sort of Service Manual available for the Vertigo? software for the FI with diagnostics etc?

Took my Combat out today - it ran faultlessly for 2 hours and then intermittently coughed and popped and generally ran poorly before clearing itself. This happened about 5 times and It remained a bit hit and miss for the rest of the day. Having got it home and washed it off it ran for a minute before dying and now wont start. Is there a way to reset them and has anyone else had any teething problems?

Looks like that's what Dougie is doing so firstly what would be the best features? What I see as necessary are a Stiff frame Fairly Compact with a 4 to 5 litre tank. The current JTG rear suspension seems superior to everybody else's and Forks will remain forks. Wheels need to have "give" in them so the current metal spoked seem to be preferable. Could Magura style reservoir less Disc brakes be used? they could be a weight and maintenance saver if the required power can be obtained? Electronics and Air filters need to be tidily packaged, easily accessed and kept away from Water. Too many bikes have cables everywhere as well so it needs thought as to where to place the man…

I saw a UK vendor info sheet a while back, and it suggested a 200:1 mix ratio. I've been mixing 133:1, which is the 0.75% ratio called out in the manual. I still get a lot of blow by out the exhaust, so I was curious, if you have been mixing 200:1,how's it working out? Since I haven't heard about any seized top ends, I'd guess well enough...

What are you using? The manual on the vertigo site specs a Castrol synthetic ATF (the closest thing I can get in the US is Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF). The US importer seems to recommend a Maxima 0w10 (no idea why). A close US dealer runs regular ATF. Maybe anything vaguely oil like will suffice.

Just test rode the new vertigo trials bike. Its some bike the build quality is amazing and it rides brilliant. The one thing i noticed was the grip is was great 3 foot deep mud and it just ploughed through it. What do you think the reliability will be like it has been tested for 2 years but i am not sure what weaknesses it may have any idea. Many thanks

I'm currently looking at a Vertigo Ice Hell 300 and i was wondering if it would be too powerful and too difficult to maintain by myself. I am a 6ft, 11St, 16 year old who is riding at a good green - course level at all clubs. Do people think it would be too powerful even if it had really low gears and on mapping setting 3? Any advice would be really useful ?

I’m looking at doing some suspension tweaks on my bike, I just feel it’s a bit firm at both ends, I’ve had it about a year so it will all be well bedded in. It’s not something I’ve done before I tend to just get used to how there set up but I feel I need to alter mine now. Any advice would be great

Hi all! There are rumors in Spain that the Vertigo engine will be used, mounted in a Scorpa frame, by one of the factory riders in the next Tres Dias de Trial de Santigosa. According to these rumors the engine is been developed by Francesc Moret and now by Dougie Lampkin.

When i got the bike it started up on the first kick then i rode a bit ad killed it with the kill cord that goes around your arm (it replaces the stop button). 20 seconds later i tried starting it up and it took a good 12 or more kicks to get it going but i was using the same technique. I rode for 10 and killed it again (same way). And i couldn't get it started again,no matter what i tried it wouldn't make a noise. The next day I would try it again but nothing. The dealer came and picked it up, the next they they were able to start it perfectly.... Has anyone else had this problem, or am I too weak to start the bike? xd

Sold my ‘17 Montesa 4rt and bought a left over ‘19 Vertical Combat. I love this bike! So much easier to ride in all respects... except one, starting. If I have a tree to lean against or a rock to stand on where I can get up over the bike, I can start it 1st or 2nd kick. But if none of those available no way. What am I doing wrong? How do I position my body to get enough leverage to kick it over????? i tried using the side stand to support the bike while that worked, it bends the side stand.
