For those interested in the riders entered in the Colmore Cup on 28th February, you can see the entries as they come in by clicking on the Stratford-Upon-Avon web site HERE The Colmore starts at Downs Farm near Bourton onthe Hill, off the A44 between Broadway and Moreton in the Marsh and is a round of the Novogar Clubmans Championship. Just got back from observing at the Vic Britain, it was very wet and muddy. I managed to get a couple of pictures of various riders. Sorry they're not very good but it was pouring down, so it will just have to give you a flavour of the event until someone can post some better ones.

Me and two of my mates are intending entring this seires starting at Fryup on the 25th of April. Question is for my two mates this will be their first trial and I am wondering how hard it is? They are complete novices they can bearly do wheelies! I am no expert either so I am not sure what class to enter. I guess they should also join the ACU before the trial? Or on the day?

The Stratford-Upon-Avon Club are holding the Colmore Cup on Sunday 8th March which will be a round of the 2009 Novogar Clubmans Championship. New for this year, the Colmore will have a less severe 'non-championship' route on 50% of the sections. The non-championship route will be aimed at riders who would like to ride in the 'Oldest National Trial' in the calendar but who would previously have found the Colmore Sections a little too challenging. Starting at Downs Farm near Bourton-On-The-Hill, the 30 mile route will include such favourites as Dovedale, Camp, Top Farm and Saintbury Quarry. There will be free refreshments at the half way punch card change at Top Farm, and…

September 28th 2008 will be the date for the first annual Trevor Hunt Trophy Trial The trial will be named after (to those who dont know him) the clubs long standing secretary, western centre president and former Wye Valley Traders Cups, clerk of the course of 33 years. The club will be running a traditional one lap road based trial over a lap of 30miles, taking in 14 groups with between 35 to 40 sections. The event will be run on an open permit, using many of the old Traders groups plus new goups the club have secured. Two routes will be on offer, the main route aiming at riders who take part in the ACU Traditional Series, alternative route being aimed at riders who…

The Stratford-Upon-Avon Club are holding a club trial at Saintbury Quarry near Broadway on Sunday 29th October. There will be three routes available so there should be something for everyone. The venue will be signposted from the A44 at the top of Fish Hill, East of Broadway, entries close at 10am. The first ten riders to bring along an Observer will get a free entry.

The Wye Valley Auto Club are proud to announce the return of the Wye Valley Traders Cups Trial after an absence of 15 years. The 2009 event will take place on Saturday 25th of April (day before the Victory Trial) Section severity will be similar to a National Clubmans Championship Trial. Having just returned batered and bruised, but not dishartened from the French 4 Day trial held by the St Christophe ATC in Sardent, I have to say that the french have got it spot on. The organisation, route marking, section layout and facilities were second to none and would not be put off again by the 18 hour journey to get there. We travelled in an N Reg sprinter!!! Their attitude to motorsport in general is completely different to the UK, " it is more popular than football" I was informed one late evening while sharing a beer or two with the locals. Whole families were present at each section to witness, observe and cheer on the hearty souls who dared to take on all …

  18. The milton Buzzard mcc are hosting the first round of the centre championship (open to riders from any centre!!!!) at their newest venue of Hammonds park. there is a variety of sections which feature a stream, a couple of steps for experts, some roots on banks and dry climbs. the venue riding area has been expanded and WILL provide a decent and different challenge worthy of a championship round. The 50/50 route will still be sensible, opting out of any of the championship standard expert routes but still tougher than clubman who have their usual steady route. 10 sections have been plotted all off road so all welcome. Further details to follow.
