Just been looking at the FIM rules for trials and see the minimum weight for the bikes is going up 4kg to 70 kg in Jan 2014. What is the idea behind this? Is it a case of trying to slow down the evolution of trials by firstly altering the riding rules and now trying to tamper with bike development. With all the manufacturers releasing their 2014 models already and most being around 66 - 68 kg how are they going to make this work for the upcoming season?....Are we due to see the new factory replica models coming out shortly with forged iron swinging arms and stainless steel petrol tanks?

Not one to suggest anything underhand might happen in Italy in the final round, but I'd be surprised if Matteo doesn't win the event.

If the rumours are true Gas Gas will be boosting their Trial GP ranks with both Busto and Fajardo for 2018 not confirmed officially yet, but that's what being mentioned

Question: Quickest way to ruin trials and upset all the riders? Answer: Follow the idiotic decisons of the ACU who (almost) had the balls to admit that the 2012 BTC was a totally sh*t borefest despised by the riders and ignored by fans and reverted to stop allowed for 2013. Wow there's some imbeciles running this sport at a national and international level.

Some interesting rider change rumours for 2020 coming from across the pond ! Busto and Miquel gelabert to beta , jorge casales to gasgas ,aniol gelabert to trs and James dabill and Franze kadlec to both quit altogether !time will soon tell if any of it is true , I can’t see dabill calling it a day yet though and kadlec has had a good year so seems strange for him to stop ,it would also leave vertigo with no riders at all which I can’t see

I was thinking the other day that I wonder what the top trials riders get as a salary? What do you think the likes of Bou, Raga, Fajardo etc would get paid?

With the withdrawal / retirement of James Dabill and Jack Price from Trial GP I think that leaves only Dan Peace as a UK rider in the top level for 2021 and possibly on 10 riders overall. You'd probably assume that 1 or more of Fuji (nearly 41 ?), Raga (38) and Fajardo (35) are nearing the end in the next few seasons as well. Pretty bleak outlook for the sport at it's highest level, and don't see many Trial2 riders wanting to make the step up. What are the issues / reasons? Cost - harder to get sponsorship and funding? governing body? Rules? Manufacturer support? All of these? Think Dibs was expected as he'd hinted at it a couple of years back, but Price…

I've seen WTC rounds in UK, France, Andorra, Czech Republic and Poland over the years but never have I seen such atrocious observing decisions as I witnessed this weekend. A few of the many examples Saturday section 4: Bou still for at least 4-5 seconds and bike stalled, got away with a 0 Saturday section 3: Ferrer given a 5 for the merest of stops, was not 'technically' stationary either Sunday section 8: Grattarola having the ride of the first lap and blitzing the rocks that most others (inc Bou) 5'd and got given a 5 yet, same section other riders actually stopped getting away with it. Sunday section 2: sheppard stopping, going backwards, going sideways and gettin…

Thoughts on a route between the trial 2 and trial GP class? Is the step too big for the trial 2 riders to step up to the trial GP class. upon looking at the results last year a few trials on trial 2 were won on less that 20, should there be a route between the classes to bring on the better half of trial 2 and make the step upto trial GP smaller.

Questions with no answers? Will Gas Gas be resurrected by 2016? If there is will there be a budget for a team? Would it be best for Raga to change make of bike to regain enthusiasm and momentum? Reality is with the best will in the World barring a disaster Toni is going to win with half the season nearly done? The other reality is that only Raga can probably get close? If he is talking to other manufacturers with a view to riding for them then would it not be better to invest his money and ride as almost privateer in that team practicing on that bike in preparation for 2016? Of course my theory is flawed if he is talking to Jordi Tarres or of course Bou retires?

Looking at the results, it seems 3 sections were impossible, fives all the way. Adam, also fives another section where Bou escaped for a single 3. What went wrong??

So the start to 2015 and congratulations on Toni Bou on becoming the 2015 WTC again, Ok a tongue in cheek comment, but you wouldn't bet against him? So will there be a WTC in 2020 only 5 years away, but who would bet on that? Discussions have been on here for several years now and the sport of trials has changed so much, with the demise of riders, big factory trucks, demands of the media with IT infrastructure, etc. etc. and with so few riders in the top class is it viable anymore? So this years World Champoinship is over and we have had a year to see the NoStop rules play out . Will the rules be revised for next year to make the scoring consistant ? I hope some serious thought goes into this process and the riders thoughts as well as the spectators are considered . What would most like to see ???

We've heard the chorus of disapprovals to the trial being held in the Central American country of Guatemala but hears to a successful weekend for all the British Riders. Hopefully we'll see Doug not just get on the podium but top it and see Dibs carry on in much the same vein as his first round performance. Another fine Atom performance in the Junior and a Wiggy podium. Not forgetting all the other British riders who have made the epic journey west. Oh and lastly can we have the above for both days. my first visit to /sheffield having recently returned to trials - what a truly awe inspiring event, we were not disappointed - but lose the stupid race over the barrels, i could do that, i couldn't do any of the sections, made it a bit of a lottery and Fujigas lost out in my opinion can't wait 'till next year tony

I was reading the TC write-up of the Japanese mens WTC round. A number of Yamaha riders were mentioned.... What model of Yamaha were they riding? Is this a Japan only model? Dom

I think non stop is a stupid idea ... Mabey good for the likes of Toni bou and Adam raga Ect but not for the younger riders !!!!!!!
